Product Description

I am a native Spanish speaker and accomplished teacher and tutor. I obtained my degree in Translation and Interpretation in Barcelona in 2004 (English-French-Italian). After successfully completing this degree, I did a Master’s degree in International Trade and worked for four years in an International company as a Market analyst. In 2010 I decided to pursue my aspiration of becoming a language teacher and finished my PGCE in 2011, obtaining QTS in 2012. Through my time as a qualified teacher, I have over 9 years of experience in teaching French and Spanish in secondary schools from KS3 to KS5, supporting students throughout their GCSE and A-level exams preparation as well as offering after school lessons to individual students.

My lessons are focused in developing the four functional skills from day one: writing, speaking, reading and listening. As a result, students can increase their confidence and adapt their knowledge and understanding to a range of contexts as well as having greater opportunities for independent learning. During the lessons, they are involved through engaging activities and a variety of resources that makes the learning fun and challenging, without forgetting about the cultural aspect: understanding the cultural-specific contexts along with linguistic principles is central to effective language acquisition

For younger learners, my focus is on having fun and learning some basics through games and songs. Gaining confidence and enjoying the language and culture is key for a good basis. For older students and adults, I want the lessons to be enjoyable and puposeful and that’s why, I take the time to understand your needs and make each lesson a truly customised experience.
