English (11+ / KS3 / GCSE – Online) – Kieron 11+, English GCSE, KS2, KS3

Ashbourne / National

I have a love of literature and writing and enjoy sharing this passion with my students. My current tutees reflect a range of ages, experience and abilities. From non-native EFL students in China, International students in Singapore to UK based 11+, KS3 and GCSE students I have wide experience at building confidence in both writing and linguistic analysis skills required for competitive entrance and national examinations.

I have thousands of hours tuition and tutoring experience to tutees in the UK, Dubai, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Australia. The students I work with range from 7 / 8 year olds all the way to undergraduates at some of the UK’s leading Universities namely Cambridge, Oxford and Durham.

For my scholarship and 13+ students I have an outstanding track record assisting with applications to Eton, Westminster, Winchester, Harrow, Epsom and Wellington where my students have successfully achieved academic awards out of a highly competitive candidate pool.

If you are considering English tuition either for an upcoming exam or as part of a wider programme of improving understanding and broadening your exposure to wider genres and texts within English, O would be delighted to discuss tuition options with you.

Our daughter worked with Kieron over the past year and really benefited with exam technique and problem solving. Her creative writing and comprehension has improved significantly. Thanks Kieron

I am a graduate from the University of Cambridge and prior to this attended Repton School in rural Derbyshire where I gained straight As at A Level in Biology, Chemistry, Latin and Ancient Greek. Following graduation, I worked as an analyst in an investment bank for a number of years before taking up a teaching role at Wellington College.

I have thousands of hours teaching and tutoring experience across a range of subjects, levels and abilities. Despite my academic background being in Classics, I also have experience of tutoring the Sciences, History, Maths and English to GCSE level, as well as preparing students for entry into UK Independent Schools at 13+. I have worked with clients on a face-to-face basis and online in Canada, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Dubai.

My younger tutees have successfully gained places at Eton, Harrow, Wellington, Epsom, Charterhouse, Westminster as well as successful university applications to Oxford and Cambridge.

I am a highly committed, experienced and passionate educator who always strives to get the best from students. I believe that enjoyment and education should go hand-in-hand, and for that reason always seek to develop a positive, enjoyable and motivated learning environment for the students. Whether in a classroom or one-to-one, my teaching style always focuses on building the student’s confidence in their own ability to achieve results. I have two goals in my lessons, for them to be educational and enjoyable. If children can laugh whist learning and be inspired and engaged in what I have to teach them, then the lesson is a success.
