What is group online tuition?
When it comes to education and schooling, 2020 has been quite the transformational year in terms of how we view the way in which teaching is performed. From open classrooms to pre-recorded lessons, teachers around the world have found innovative ways to ensure that their students do not suffer scholastically because of the pandemic. One of the key innovations has been virtual teaching; with students logging into a virtual classroom using applications such as Zoom, Google or Skype and being taught from the comfort of their own homes.
Online teaching in this manner is something which we at Arlen are very familiar with, thanks to our bespoke online platform which was designed to facilitate the perfect virtual learning experience. It is this platform which enables us to deliver our group online lessons, giving students outstanding tuition at an affordable rate of just £16.50 per hour.
Online group tuition is based on a simple principle: 3 or 4 students in a class with an excellent teacher who can provide tuition that is tailored to that small group. With such small groups, the tutor can provide individual and tailored tasks, as well as being able to offer complete flexibility in terms of the topics they cover to suit the students’ needs. It is this element of the group tuition which makes it so effective in improving the performance of students; they are able to pinpoint weaknesses which may not otherwise be highlighted in a traditional classroom environment with far more students present. We also insist on providing feedback to parents, and so every four weeks our tutors provide a comprehensive overview of each of their students, so that parents are aware of progress and can also help their children with their studies in any highlighted areas.
For the student, the process is simple – all they need to do is login to our online platform (we create a username and password on their behalf and send these to the student and parent) and it is just one button to open the video call and be admitted into the virtual classroom. This takes any stress out of having to join a call or using meeting codes, and by logging into the platform the students also have access to all of the lesson resources that their tutor has uploaded for that lesson and every other lesson. We find that by having the lesson resources uploaded, students can log back in at their leisure and use the content more readily, as well as making the platform an excellent place for revision.
Our confidence in the concept of these group lessons is well justified, with hundreds of hours of lessons now having taken place on the platform and improvements seen across all of our students. It is for this reason that we offer free taster lessons to anybody who wishes to trial our services – we are confident that upon experiencing one lessons, all students will wish to continue. If you would like to trial any of our lessons then contact the team on firstname.lastname@example.org and you can see all of our lessons here.
